Today, medical interpreting has become a recognized profession in the field of language access. Health care providers appreciate that they can do a better and safer job of caring for patients when there is good language support and culture brokering available. This course is about Women's Health, it is one of the Excellence in interpreting in the New Zealand Health setting.

Women and men share many similar health problems but women also have their own health issues, which deserve special consideration. It is important for us to understand the overall women's health issue, so we can be well prepared to look after our bodies.

This course will look at most  common health issues of women including gynaecological and obstetric problems, as well as some common breast disorders.
